The goals of RT

  • To promote and deepen the friendship of young men.
  • To raise awareness that everyone has obligations to the community.
  • To serve the general public through social works.
  • To promote morality in professional and social life.
  • To promote international understanding, friendship and cooperation.
  • The expansion of the association in Austria

The organization

The smallest unit is the local table, which is a member of the parent association Round Table Austria (RTA). Each table has a table presidium consisting of a table president, a vice-president, a past-president, the secretary, the club master, the treasurer and the international relations officer (I.R.O.). The terms of office usually last only one year in order to give each member the opportunity to take on a function during the course of their membership.

The representatives of all European and Mediterranean countries meet annually for a conference (EMTM). The global umbrella organization is the “World Council of Young Men’s Service Clubs” (WOCO), which includes Round Table and other service clubs that pursue the same or similar goals.

Johann Teuschl and Herbert Groß from Burger King at Salzburg train station and Klaus Satra from Burger King Airport Center have been supporting the work of Round Table 30 (www.rt30.at) in aid of the butterfly children by setting up donation boxes for several years now. Once again, a total of € 5,000 was collected, this time with the support of Round Table 45 Airport.

Our service to the community

Since it was founded almost 25 years ago, Round Table 30 Salzburg has been able to help a number of institutions and individuals through its work. For example, organizations such as the Clowndoctors or Cystische Fibrosehilfe Salzburg have been supported. But Round Table 30 has also been able to help in other countries. One of these international projects is the orphanage “Bevies Chrecé and pre school – Gingindlovo”. Moneyraising” To raise funds for our projects, we run mulled wine stands, organize art auctions or flea markets, for example. Wherever you see Round Table – come and support us in our work.

What we are not:

Round Table is not a party political organization. However, the Tabler should know the problems of his country and fulfil his civic duties. Round Table is not a secret society. Its activities are often echoed and recognized by the public. Round Table is non-denominational, Round Table is not anti-family, many events take place together with partners and children. Round Table is therefore not just a dinner club. There is no doubt that the shared meals and other social events serve to strengthen friendships and bonds. But this is only one part of Round Table. The other part is service to the community.
